CIS students raise money for APD

 IB students of Grade 11 at the Canadian International School ,Bangalore,India have been involved in helping the Association for People with disability(APD) as one of their CAS projects  to empower them to become contributing members of society and lead a life with self-esteem and dignity.A few students spend their weekends at the school providing them literacy skills.One of our student Davin has started a music programme and the students are enjoying it and look forward for the weekends.Recently three of our students Udhav,Sowbhagya and Roshan have raised Rs.7650 by selling calendars to our school community which had the artworks done by the disabled students. This has been their first endeavor in fund raising for APD and it has been a success though the amount collected is not much.The funds will be used by APD for purchasing mobility aids.
