 IB students of Grade 11 at the Canadian International School ,Bangalore,India have been involved in helping the Association for People with disability(APD) as a CAS project  to empower them to become contributing members of society and lead a life with self-esteem and dignity.A few students spend their Saturdays at the school providing them literacy and Music skills.One of our student Davin has started a music programme with the disabled.They are enjoying learning it and look forward for the Saturdays.Recently three of our students Udhav,Sowbhagya and Roshan have raised Rs.7650 by selling calendars to our school community which had the artworks done by the disabled students. This has been their first endeavor in fund raising for APD and it has been a success though the amount collected is not much.The funds will be used by APD for purchasing mobility aids.
