Cultural diversity and immersion, creating the beginning steps of globalization, is depreciated in education. High school students, occupied with homework and the sole goal of good test scores, have limited opportunities to experience different cultural customs. In addition, high school students socialize with other students from the same ethnicity, creating a "clique", innately uncomfortable with different ethnicity. The social cultural barriers are the roots of racial discrimination, as students become less knowledgeable about the international diversity. With the increasing globalization, slowly dissolving cultural barriers and increasing economic productivity, in addition to the immigration flow creating a racial diverse country, cultural immersion and tolerance is becoming more significant. Also, the advantage of being bilingual is an essential characteristic to attaining a successful career, especially in the competitive global market. 

Our social venture, an international website, will have two primary features of an international chatting forum and a culture news/international news portal site. With the international chatting forum, students will be paired with their peers from different countries based on language interest and level, in which students will talk in both their foreign language and native language, allowing both the student and peer, who is fluent in the student's foreign language but learning the other's native language, to develop their fluency within a one hour chatting session. For all students, each week, a youth issue, such as stress from school, or a current controversial international event will be set as the topic of the chatting sessions. Not only will it give a global perspective of the pandemic problems of teen youth, but it will also give a peer to peer mediation. From reports/feedback provided from the students at the end of each session, I hope to compile it into an annual report of the global perspective of teens. In addition, intermediate to advanced students can participate through a music industry/entertainment agency by mastering fluency through an activity they enjoy, primarily singing. By learning to correct their oral skills through singing a foreign song, the students will ultimately create a music video of their recorded performance through video chat. Students will practice singing cover songs of different languages as a duet or a small group. After recording it as a final session, a video editor will edit the conference call into a professional music video, which will be published on Youtube. 

We also want to create a feature of international current events written by high school students, who will be able to discuss with others who are interested. In addition, not only will the article sections feature international news, but also entertainment news articles, such as the music and movie industry. Through articles that discuss aspects of cultures that interest teens, primarily pop culture like music, TV, and movies, teens will learn about different cultures and ethnicity with topics they are interested in.
