Global Youth Service Day- US student links through IREX

Global Connections and Exchange in Southeast and Central Asia are programs funded by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and are facilitated by IREX, an international non-profit dedicated to better education, free media, and strong communities. Each year, as part of GCE, secondary school students in Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, and the Philippines plan and implement small service projects in their communities as part of Global Youth Service Day Weekend (April 20-22, 2012).

We are looking for IB World Schools working with students ages 14-18 to collaborate online with peers in these countries in tackling issues in their communities for GYSD. In April, students will share their plans for service ahead of this weekend, take action, and share the results and their reflections with their international partners.
